Studio Terms and Conditions
To keep "the studio" safe for everyone, studio renters must show experience with the equipment being used.
Torch renters must have experience on a surface-mixed torch and have taken an introduction workshop at the very least.
Glass studio renters must have experience with the saws, grinders, and drills and have taken an introduction to glass fusing workshop at the very least.
Jump Ringer renters must have experience with the winder and cutter and have taken a chainmaille type workshop that used it.
If you haven't taken a introductory workshop with Brea Bead Works (BBW) but do feel you have the experience, you will be required to go through an overview and safety briefing to qualify. This overview will incur a nominal fee.
Studio rentals may be reserved by phone or in person and secured with a credit card or FlameCard. No-shows will be charged a 1 hour fee on their credit card or deducted from their FlameCard.
Rental time begins at your scheduled reservation time, due to possible back-to-back reservations. If you are running late you will unfortunately forfeit those minutes and will be charged from your scheduled start-time.
Torch rental includes the use of the Minor bench burner, didymium glasses, rod rest, and fiber blanket. The use of the bead annealer is included upon request.
Glass studio rental includes the use of the glass saw, grinder, drill and work table.
Jump Ringer rental includes the use of the winder, mandrels, and saw and is a per person fee.
Allow 5-10 minutes to clean up your area to make it available for the next renter.
