lisa cotterman
Lisa has been beading for over 15 years. Initially, she worked exclusively with seed beads using a variety of techniques, including peyote stitching and knitting, and has made beaded amulet purses. Lisa’s interest in lampworked beads began after she saw the work of Kristina Logan, which led her to take her first lampwork bead making class in 1994. The excitement of creating beautiful beads from molten glass was very powerful and she instantly fell in love with the process. In 1996 Lisa began wire wrapping, initially as a means of showcasing her lampworked beads. She was inspired to learn wire wrapping after seeing the jewelry of Lynn Merchant, whose style she greatly admires. Lisa works almost exclusively with 18 and 16 gauge sterling silver wire, as the heavier gauges nicely complement her larger size lampworked beads. She employs a variety of techniques to add detail and texture to the wire, including twisting, burnishing, hammering, and antiquing.

mary zeigler
Mary has been stitching and sewing for as long as she can remember. Over the years Mary has added to her repertoire all types of stitching such as Brazilian embroidery, ribbon embroidery, needlelace, needlepoint and crochet. Although her final pieces were wonderful in itself she felt it needed some embellishment and that’s how she began incorporating beads into her projects. Mary now uses beads in everything such as her amulet purses, bracelets, and necklaces. She feels that beads perfectly complement her stitched pieces and adds just enough sparkle to finish them off. Mary has also done many free-form strung pieces incorporating the herringbone, peyote, or brick stitch. Mary loves to create and teach what she loves.
